Caller Display & ISDN Calling Line Identification (CLIP) Changes effective 1st October 2018
Following changes to Ofcom’s General Conditions of Entitlement, which all communications providers must follow to operate in the UK, we are now pleased to offer Caller Display and ISDN CLIP services Free of Charge to our customers. Caller Display and CLIP allow you, as the called party, to receive the telephone number of the person calling you (unless withheld), helping you screen unwanted calls. If you already have this service, you do not need to do anything, we will automatically adjust your current pricing so that the service is free of charge from the 1st October 2018. If you do not have this service enabled and would like to receive it please contact your dedicated customer support team on the numbers below:
Small to Medium Businesses (SMB) please call 0333 320 2000 option 1 then 2 or email CustomerSupport@daisygroup.com.
Corporate Businesses (DCS) please call 0330 024 33330 or email DaisySupport@daisygroup.com.
Note: To use this feature you will need a compatible telephone handset with Caller Display capability. If you have a telephone system / PBX installed you may need to contact your PBX maintainer to ensure your system is programmed to present the calling number on your handsets. Depending on your maintenance agreement, programming changes may be deemed as chargeable.
Important Calls Pricing Update
Further to price changes issued by our suppliers to Daisy on the 27th July 2018. Daisy will be updating our Fixed Line rate cards. Whilst calls on Fixed Telephone Exchange lines are still a regulated service, following changes issued by Ofcom in November 2017 the service is no longer charge controlled. This means our suppliers now have more flexibility on how they can charge for calls. As a result our suppliers have introduced a new pence per call set up charge which will become effective as of 1st September 2018.
Daisy endeavours to remain as competitive as possible and following a review of this change we regrettably must pass down this charge to our customers. As a result, from the 1st September 2018 every call made on a fixed exchange line regardless of carrier or tariff will incur a call connection fee of 1 pence per call. If you already are charged a call connection fee, your charge will increase by 1 pence.
If you have any queries or would like to speak with one of our specialist advisors, please call 03303 330 396 or email customerloyaltydepartment@daisygroup.com.
Change to billing for international call rating increments.
From 1 August 2018 call rating when dialling from the UK to EU will be rated in 60 second increments. Existing pence per minute rates will not be affected by these changes.
Billing correction for calls to Channel Islands & Isle of Man
We will be introducing a correction for usage (calls and SMS) made to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man from the UK. Currently the calls are incorrectly included within standard domestic call bundles. As of the 1 August 2018 updates will be applied to the billing system, meaning calls made to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man from the UK will be chargeable at the cost of 47.67p p per minute; Texts to the Channels Islands and the Isle of Man from the UK will be chargeable at 47.67p per message.
These changes will apply to all standard tariffs including, but not limited to, Daisy Eureka and Select&Share.

CDR Improvements – Pricing will not be affected
Following some recent feedback it became clear that the size of some monthly itemised billing files on Vodafone are a problem, specifically when there is considerable data usage accrued whilst roaming. We have been looking into ways of improving this and now have an answer.
Currently roaming data sessions are relayed to us, by the network, in 3mb event rows resulting in potentially hundreds of lines per interaction, and extremely large monthly call files being generated. To resolve this issue we will be introducing steps to aggregate roamed data traffic received from Vodafone, on a per file received basis. This means that potentially thousands of individual lines will be consolidated in to single events and have no negative impact to the way in which the data is provided. It will not affect the alerts currently in place for data roaming and, most importantly, it will not affect pricing.
We are looking to apply these improvements, across all active Vodafone connections, with effect from 01 May 2018. We are certain that these changes should help reduce the size of data files and the time it takes to download them, however should you have any questions or concerns prior to this then please do not hesitate to contact us.

New Mobile Worldwide Zoning Structure and Rates
In August last year Vodafone released a new zoning structure and rates, restricted to its consumer base via the Vodafone RED tariffs. It meant that the destinations within the existing two worldwide zones, alongside Asia Pacific and America & Canada zones would be re-aligned across four new worldwide zones.
These changes will shortly be rolled out amongst some tariffs available throughout their business channels and as such Daisy have begun to take steps towards delivery of this to its own customers. Not only can we offer access to the newer Vodafone rates sooner than our competitors, but we can exclusively offer this pricing on O2 across a number of Daisy’s tariffs.

MPAY Billing Correction
It came to our attention in December 2017 that in some cases MPAY events, such as charity donations, TV voting, service payment via SMS were not charging correctly. These services allow the end user to pay directly, via their mobile device, for a service that would usually require a cash transaction. As such these events should always be charged on to the end user at full price, and essentially remain unaffected by invoice discounts or inclusive bundles.
Previously, with Daisy Mobile, this was not the case in some instances we were discounting or bundling these charges in error. We corrected this issue as of 1st February 2018. In the event you have concerns around charges occurring for these call types we can apply both Premium SMS and specific MPAY bars for Vodafone customers, and O2 customers can apply a single Premium SMS bar that covers MPAY events.
If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
