Chris Talliss, Head of Cloud, Daisy Corporate Services
I was delighted to attend HPE Discover in June, exploring the latest innovations and insights across hybrid, private cloud and AI. We learned how HPE GreenLake cloud is leading the market by helping organisations redefine the role of private cloud and adopt a hybrid operating model everywhere – shortening the time to bring data-driven projects to life.
It was an insightful event and most importantly, it demonstrated that there is great alignment between HPE’s developments and our own exciting roadmap for our private cloud portfolio.
Please read on for my summary of the key announcements:
New HPE Private Cloud AI
The first of its kind turnkey full-stack AI solution that will accelerate AI adoption. This is fully integrated into GreenLake and is powered by NVIDIA technology via a unique partnership between the two organisations.
What this means for our customers: This will enable you to experiment and adopt AI models on your data without having to compromise data privacy.
New GreenLake Virtualisation Option
GreenLake will support an HPE KVM (their own) hypervisor, as an alternative to VMWare or Nutanix. This will be released in H2 and will be extended to support Kubernetes soon.
What this means for our customers: Offers more commercially competitive virtualisation and modernisation options for customers workloads.
New GreenLake File Storage
A proven server, networking, and storage framework with NVIDIA certified file storage to support AI workloads and HPE private cloud AI.
What this means for our customers: Accelerate AI adoption and ROI, reduce the deployment and operational complexity of AI workloads and achieve superior performance, simplicity, efficiency, and reliability.
New Gen12 Compute Solutions
Gen12 chipset to help support mixed, memory and CPU intensive workloads
What this means for our customers: Provides a solid foundation to support that unlocks greater value from your data and enables transformational opportunities.
New GreenLake Migration and Observability
Powered by Ops Ramp and Zerto, both have now been extended to interface directly into Greenlake.
What this means for our customers: Improved migration and observability tools will streamline transitions, ensuring operational efficiency and robust performance.
