Daisy, a leading innovator in the tech industry, proudly announces its attainment of the coveted ISO 50001 certification, underscoring its unwavering commitment to sustainability and operational excellence.
This achievement showcases Daisy’s dedication to implementing cutting-edge energy management practices. Securing ISO 50001 certification is no small feat. It demands meticulous scrutiny and stringent audits, scrutinising every facet of a company’s energy management systems. Daisy’s certification process began in July 2023, and the qualification was officially awarded in March 2024.
To ensure this high standard is upheld, BSI will conduct regular assessment and evaluations. This ensures we are continuing to confirm to the requirements of the ISO 50001 standard. It also ensures commitment to energy management is met.
Damian Edwards, ISO Standards Manager, says, “We are certified to several international standards and are regularly audited by organisations such as BSI. Being awarded the ISO 50001 certification further highlights our proactive approach to addressing environmental challenges while enhancing its competitive edge.”
ISO 50001 fulfils the requirements of the UK government’s Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme regulations. This is a mandatory energy assessment scheme that requires organisations to undertake comprehensive energy audits every four years. It is designed to identify energy efficiency opportunities and promote energy savings across an organisation’s buildings, industrial processes, and transport.
By implementing stringent energy management protocols, Daisy reduces its environmental footprint and improves its competitiveness in the marketplace.
“Obtaining ISO 50001 international standard certification is a recognition of our achievements over the many years that we have been actively monitoring, managing and reducing our energy utilisation across the business,” says Steve Benns, Property Director at Daisy Corporate Services. “It also reflects on our tireless efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, conserve resources, and drive innovation through sustainable energy management practices.”
“I’m honoured and delighted by this new certification. It’s a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence in our energy, environmental and operational management,” added Lyndsey Charlton at Daisy Corporate Services. “It validates our ongoing efforts to lead by example and set new industry benchmarks for environmental stewardship.”
Achieving ISO 50001 certification affirms Daisy’s commitment to creating a greener, more sustainable future for future generations.
