CWU industrial action and impact on Openreach – Update

BT and Openreach have been and are in ongoing pay review negotiations with the communication workers union (CWU) who represent BT and Openreach employees.

Unfortunately, there has been no agreement to resolve the dispute yet, therefore, CWU have instructed their members to take the appropriate and advised action to strike until the pay review dispute is concluded.

This will be done over several days, the first days being:

• Friday 29 July
• Monday 1 August

However, we have been assured that BT has robust contingency plans in place to cope with any strike action that does take place.
