This is also an opportunity to take advantage of our wide range of VoIP and Fibre based Broadband solutions ahead of the upcoming WLR Switch-off 2025.
What is the WLR Switch-off 2025? BT Openreach can no longer support the ageing network, which means that PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) and ISDN will be removed from service by December 2025. However, in some parts of the country, services are already being switched off with many more exchanges being added to the stop/sell programme as part of the switch-off.
Why act now? The PSTN Switch-off is happening, and it’s happening now. It is your responsibility to ensure your business is prepared in advance of the switch-off; if we all wait until 2025 – the resources within BT and other providers will fall short of the support required. For many businesses, more is at stake than just phones and Internet.
The upcoming changes to the UK communications infrastructure could easily put the wider workings of your business at risk, from card machines to emergency alarms, lifts, entry systems and much more. The sooner you act, the better prepared your business will be for the migration to a fully digital network.
Should you have any questions regarding the increase in the charges, please do not hesitate to contact your account manager or service delivery manager in the first instance.
