Chromium CVE-2022-1096

Google have recently addressed a security vulnerability in Chrome affecting the V8 JavaScript engine. Designated CVE-2022-1096, this vulnerability has been identified in ongoing attacks prior to a fix being released. This affects Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
Chromium-based browsers including Microsoft Edge often have reliable update processes, it would however be advisable to validate the successful operation of these processes occasionally.
Google have released an emergency patch.
Microsoft have also released guidance surrounding the Chromium-based Edge browser.
