Corporate device software

Intelligent communication systems help to propagate real time information effectively and enable the sharing of valuable information, making peripheral devices smarter.

Through well-defined policies and tightly integrated applications we can present this important data in a format which helps to keep employees informed and up to date regardless of location or device.

Daisy considers the UC applications suite of today as an extension to traditional business intelligence tools and desktop productivity suites. It is an integral part of the higher order of systems – the ‘connection of ideas’ as it forms a part of a smarter systems architecture.

The ability to access key business information at any time, on any device and from any location, makes it far easier to enable business transformation programmes.

Mobile device integration

Tablets and smartphones are now seen as an integral part of office-based applications. The ability to integrate these devices seamlessly, regardless of the user’s location, enhances flexible working initiatives and helps to improve business continuity planning. Intelligent routing allows communication from device to device, in a format which adapts to the user’s work style and to the available connectivity. Your employees can simply sign in to their preferred device from any location, alerting colleagues to their presence and their availability status – giving them the option to communicate or to access data securely from their current location, wherever that may be.

Connecting public systems

In the ‘always connected’, ‘always on’, ‘always available’ world, web or browser based voice and video applications such as Skype, Yammer and FaceTime, offer a low cost way to stay in touch. Whether that is with the office, your customers or your suppliers. Daisy understands that having a corporate device always available isn’t always practical or sometimes the most cost effective way to stay in touch. We have developed a range of services to allow these consumer or public systems to connect. Allowing collaboration through all of these channels means the burden on the corporate system, and your employees which support them, is eased. Clearly for some organisations this level of freedom will challenge governance and security policies and, as such, the level and type of interconnection will be restricted. However, for some, these complimentary toll free services allow you to collaborate with third parties on a ‘one to one’ and ‘one to many’ basis, making them ideal for ad hoc yet media rich communication, regardless of your location and device. By embedding communications technology into business applications, you can help to speed up decision-making and so streamline business processes. For example, enabling virtual ‘calling cards’ features within CRM systems and/or database applications can help your employees to access, communicate and collaborate from within that application, without delay and via a single click. No longer do employees need to move between applications – the functionality becomes embedded in their function/application, streamlining the desktop and communication infrastructure.

Directory integration

As specialised databases, directories are optimised for high volumes of views and searches. At the same time, user policies and privileges and group membership on the corporate network is often contained within the dataset and needs to remain centrally controlled. However, directories should be seen as extendable – meaning that the type of information stored can be modified and enriched to reflect attributes such as relationship to users and available knowledge resources. Today’s UC&C applications provide a method for accessing and potentially modifying this information by the end user. This capability enables you centralise all user information in a single repository, whilst making it available in several applications at one time. This reduces central administration and maintenance and the associated costs – because dynamic adds, moves and changes can be performed by your employees.
